Our Medicap is independently owned and operated by Bobbie Barbrey and is the go-to pharmacy for health and wellness. We are the only PCAB accredited pharmacy in Raleigh, the highest compounding standard available. Less than 2% of pharmacies nationwide have this accreditation. This ensures that your compounds will be filled correctly and accurately each time.
Our pharmacy is dedicated to the wellbeing of your family and the wellbeing of the community. That’s why we offer services such as immunizations, medication therapy management, multi-dose packaging, medication synchronization, important health screenings, and expert care. - Bobbie is the foundation and cornerstone of Medicap. You'll recognize his friendly greeting when you come in the door. He's always available to answer any question -- his focus is on service and his passion is in helping people achieve optimal health. He has a unique skills combination that you won't find anywhere else.
Kaylan Barbrey, PharmD
Owner
Kaylan Barbrey, PharmD, is the owner of Medicap Pharmacy in Raleigh, North Carolina. She grew up in the pharmacy her father, Bobbie Barbrey, founded in 2001. Following in his footsteps, Kaylan earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from UNC-Chapel Hill and returned to Medicap to help grow and evolve the practice. She now leads it with a focus on functional wellness, compounding, and patient-centered care. Kaylan is passionate about helping people feel better, longer — with support that extends beyond prescriptions into supplements, alternative therapies, and longevity strategies.
Marti Crane, RPh
Pharmacist, Immunization Certified
- Marti is a registered pharmacist and does immunizations. Ask her any questions you might have about flu shots or shingles vaccines. She heads the travel vaccine program.

Rene is an experienced pharmacist with over 20 years in community and hospital settings, as well as healthcare leadership. Known for her patient-first approach, Renee is a trusted health advocate with a special interest in nutritional support and supplement therapy. At Medicap Pharmacy, she empowers patients to take control of their wellness with expert, personalized guidance.

Deb is a Certified Health Coach with over a decade of experience helping clients make practical, long-term lifestyle changes that support lasting health.
With ongoing advanced training from the Institute of Nutritional Endocrinology, she focuses on the connection between hormones, nutrition, gut health, adrenal function, and weight balance.
Her approach is rooted in the belief that true wellness comes from understanding the body as an interconnected system—where personalized insights, real food, and sustainable lifestyle choices work together to create optimal health.
